 Mandurah Crabfest 2008

Mandurah's city streets are set to come alive with colour, energy and music during the 2008 Channel Seven Crab Fest - March 7, 8 & 9.
A two day event featuring live cooking demonstrations, family style entertainment, local produce, and much, much more, the Channel Seven Crab Fest is the largest festival of the year and celebrates Mandurah’s vibrant coastal lifestyle through the iconic Blue Manna Crab.

Located at the heart of Mandurah on the famous Eastern Foreshore, this year’s festival program will be bursting with flavour and entertainment - featuring exciting crab and seafood cuisine, a delicious array of wines, including local Peel Region wines and a lively festival atmosphere.

Live performers surround the festivities over the weekend with five stages packed with entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. The Crab Fest Mascot ‘Claude the Crab’ will be out and about mingling with the crowds and the Saturday festivities  culminates with a firework spectacular in Mandjar Bay from 9:00pm.

The Channel 7 Crab Fest Mandurah is designed to provide a feast for your senses so make sure you join Channel 7 Perth presenters, local identities, national celebrities and the tens of thousands that flock to Mandurah every year for the annual Crab Fest Mandurah celebrations.

Highlight Alcoa Cooking Pavilion

Offering two full days of fun and flavour, drop in and join in the activities at the Alcoa World Alumina Cooking Pavilion.

Be captivated by tantalising aromas and take a journey for the senses as renowned celebrity Chefs provide exciting live cooking demonstrations throughout the entire festival weekend.

Among those cooking up a storm in the kitchen will be Channel Seven’s ‘Home in WA’ star Martin Gillespie, otherwise known as the Retro Chef, who will be delivering fun, themed cooking antics for the whole family to enjoy.

New to the Cooking Pavilion in 2008 is the not to be missed Iain Lawless with his authentic and interactive Thai cuisine. Mixing in a hilarious sense of humour with fresh, healthy dishes that are quick and easy to make, Iain will be sure to be a memorable part of your weekend.

Located at the heart of the weekend’s festivities, the Lakeland’s Crab, Seafood and Wine Pavilion is the perfect opportunity to sample some of the finest crab and seafood dishes on offer in the Mandurah region.
