|
I am a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Western Australia, in the School of Biomedical, Biomolecular and Chemical Sciences. I have had many years experience in research and teaching in the university sector, having worked in other universities in Australia and overseas. Research undertaken during this period has led to over 500 journals articles, chapters in books, review articles, a book, and patents.
I graduated with a PhD from the University of Western Australia, and with a Doctor of Science from Griffith University, Brisbane, where I was Professor of Chemistry for several years. |

Consultant primarily developing Web Sites and Flyers for small businesses; working as a Business Improvement Consultant; and writing: reports, proposals, tender responses, and analysing data-writing conclusions for the development of planning proposals. I especially enjoy designing and developing Web Sites.
I undertake consultancy contracts with businesses and offer recommendations as to new directions for them to achieve greater profits with their existing assets. |

Expertise through PhD : Desley has a Doctorate in the field of education from Monash University and has investigated 'Adult East Asian students learning in Australian classrooms'. She investigated the interactive nature of these students' cultural, communication, social, motivational and learning characteristics that influenced their learning in Australian classrooms.
