local artists and sample locally grown produce. Mandjar Markets are located on
the picturesque waterfront of Mandurah’s Eastern Foreshore. The markets run from

Embracing our Aussie heritage promises to be a memorable experience in Mandurah this Australia Day when the City hosts a fantastic free event of music and entertainment including a live broadcast from local radio station 6mm.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road, starting at the Eastern Foreshore - The Lions Club, Mandurah $3 Australia Day Breakfast and Australia Day ceremony, which includes live Aussie entertainment and the Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards which focus on community contribution and participation rather than personal achievement. Members of the Mandurah Community take part in a citizenship ceremony to officially join the Australian way of life, which is led by Mayor Paddi Creevey. You can view flotillas in the Estuary at 12noon, and pick your favourite for the winner of the best dressed boat, and there will be a special edition of the Mandjar Markets from 10am – 4pm.
The annual 97.3 Coast FM Beach Party follows directly on from these festivities and is a day of sun, sand and sport with an outside broadcast by 97.3 Coast FM, followed by live music, sand sculpting competitions, a professional volleyball competition and plenty of family fun in store. Taking place on the sandy shores of Keith Holmes Reserve, near Dolphin Quay is a celebration of Mandurah’s fantastic coastal lifestyle. (To take part in the sand castle competition, entry forms are available from both the City of Mandurah and 97.3 Coast FM.) Join the Treasure Hunt, (kids only) and find your yellow bricks to claim one of 200 vouchers that win you free ‘Dolphin Dollars!’ Claim your prize at the Dolphin Quay office.
Continue on into the evening at Dolphin Quay from 3.30pm with live entertainment and a special for Australia Day, the Dolphin Quay Markets will be open till 9pm. (Just a reminder, there are NO FIREWORKS.)
But wait – there’s more! Mandurah Performing Arts Centre have two special shows of The Wizard of Oz! The matinee at 2.00pm and an evening show at 7.30pm. |

Three days of fun and educational activities for children and families.
The theme for 2007 will be "Wild West", with themed entertainment including puppet shows, strolling performers and interactive shows.
The opening event on Friday 12th will feature a firework spectacular on the Foreshore, with the Healthy Breakfast and Activity morning taking place at the Eastern Foreshore, (run by the Halls Head Recreation Centre) over the fun packed weekend. Sunday 14th October will be carnival day where dozens of free shows and activities will be available for all. |

The theme for the 2007 celebrations will be ‘Soul Train’ with live music from Funksta and Chain Reaction.
A free Youth Interactive Zone sponsored by City of Mandurah and YOH FEST and many other side shows will also be on offer, so come down and enjoy the festivities.
